AnneMarie came to the Town of Granby as the Youth Service
Bureau Coordinator and Youth Counselor in October of 2010.
A Certified School Psychologist, she received her Masters degree in School Psychology from the University of Hartford. Prior to her work in Granby, she served as the School Psychologist at Rocky Hill High School from 1989 to 2001.
In 2004 she returned to the Rocky Hill School System to help establish a clinical day program for adolescents where she served as the primary therapeutic provider for 6 years. She has experience working effectively and creatively with depressed and anxious adolescents, teens with substance abuse issues, and children coping with learning disabilities and other academic stressors.
Her professional interests are in the area of prevention programming and youth advocacy. Outside work, her family and extended four legged family of rescue creatures fill her time and spirits. AnneMarie's application to become a Board Certified Prevention Specialist has been accepted by the State Credentialing Board. Her course work and hours of training and supervised internship have been approved. She is now scheduled to take the National Certification exam, and if all goes well will be a CPS by January 2017.
